Color Matching Game — Name That Color
Do you really know your colors? Tinctionary is a free daily puzzle where you match color names to their swatches. Cerulean, vermillion, chartreuse — can you pick the right one?
How Tinctionary Works
Each puzzle gives you 4 color names and 4 color swatches. Your job: connect each name to its correct swatch. Sounds easy — until you're choosing between "coral" and "salmon."
- Connect pairs: Draw lines from each color name to its swatch
- Submit when ready: Lock in all 4 matches, then see how you did
- Score points: 3 points per correct match on first submit, fewer for retries
Why Players Love Tinctionary
Most people think they know their colors, but Tinctionary reveals the gap between what we think mauve looks like and what it actually is. It's humbling, educational, and oddly satisfying when you nail a tricky match.
